The
Pennsylvania
Military
Museum
recounts
the story of Commonwealth citizens who served
our country in defense of the nation. Their
service is highlighted through exhibits and
artifacts that are documented by the museum's
excellent collection of vehicles and small arms.
The current exhibit, Tactics and Logistics of
Warfare, examines the organization of the armed
services in the 20th century and the
Pennsylvania
connection to each.

The

The
Rock
Hill
School at
Linden Hall is a one room schoolhouse built in
1893. It is located in the village of
Linden
Hall, Pennsylvania. The
school is owned by a 501 (C) (3), non-profit,
public charity corporation that is restoring the
school as a community center. It is
available to the entire Centre Region for
meetings, workshops, weddings, etc….. any event
the Board of Directors approves. See our

Boalsburg
Heritage Museum www.boalsburgheritagemuseum.org Open
Tuesdays and Saturdays 2:00 - 4:00 P.M. March -
December 17; other times by appointment. Call
(814) 466-3035. Closed January and February.
The
Boalsburg Heritage Museum is located at 304 East
Main Street in Boalsburg. The house itself was
built in 1825. The Museum has a variety of
displays changed regularly that feature local
artists. Special tours of the Museum, which
includes the Summer Kitchen with its Beehive
Oven, the "Pool Hall" (The Lighthouse), and the
Country Store, can be arranged by calling
466-3035 and leaving a message; the call will be
returned as soon as possible. Individuals and
tour groups are welcome! |

The Boal
family was one of the founding families of
Boalsburg and the surrounding area. The Boal
mansion has been home to nine generations of the
Boal family since 1789. It contains original
furnishings, buildings and family
archives. The Columbus
Chapel, located on the mansion grounds, was
brought to America in 1909 and contains
heirlooms belonging to the Columbus family and
dating back to the 1400's. Guided tours
of the mansion museum and chapel are available
from May through October. Call the number listed

The Hometown Christmas
weekend is made possible through the work of a
small committee of Boalsburg residents and
business people. The event is NOT funded by any
group or organization, but relies on the
fundraising efforts of the committee and
donations. If you wish to help make this event a
