Leaf and Brush
Collection
Brush collection has
ended for the spring. Please do not place any
brush in the right of way. Our next brush
collection will be held in the fall.
Please watch the Township's website
(harristownship.org), Facebook page
(facebook.com/harristownship), and the Centre
Daily Times for future dates.

The center is
located 2145 North Atherton Street and can be
reached by phone at 272-0008.
Residents are also permitted
to burn yard waste (note: residents are not allowed to
burn leaves). The Township requires that
you call Centre County dispatch to let them
know that you are planning to burn. That number
is (800) 479-0050.

SPRING BRUSH COLLECTION
WILL TAKE PLACE THE WEEK OF APRIL 8TH
BRUSH COLLECTION
REQUIREMENTS
***This is a one time
spring/fall
collection***
- Brush must
be piled with the ends of limbs laying
in the same direction,
preferably pointing in the direction
of travel.
- Mixed
or tangled piles will not be picked
up.

Maximum diameter of limbs is 8 inches.
-
Longer lengths of limbs are preferred.
- Do
not tie brush in bundles.
- Stumps,
old firewood, and construction material
will not be picked up.
- Brush
will not be collected from lots being
cleared for construction purposes.
- Maintenance
crews will not enter private property.
- Crews
will spend no more than 20 minutes
at one property.
If your pile is too large to be chipped
in 20 minutes, please make other arrangements.

COLLECTION WILL BEGIN THE WEEK OF APRIL

LEAF COLLECTION
REQUIREMENTS
**Please do not place in
plastic bags***
- Have leaves
ready by 7:00 a.m. beginning the week designated
above.
- Do not place
leaves on roadway or in drainage ways.
- If desired, place tarp
over leaf pile to prevent it from blowing
away.
Crews will uncover leaves and then place the
tarp on your property.
- Items for
collection should be no more than 5 feet from
curb.
- Maintenance
crews will not enter private property.
- Brush and
leaves must be piled separately.
